FAQs

I have no idea what I want to do. Can you help?

Yes. Our career coaches will work through what’s important to you and what you enjoy, as well as asking about your experiences, skills and qualifications before looking at career options with you.

I haven’t worked for years and am feeling hopeless. Is there any point in me looking for work?

It can be daunting looking for work when you’ve been out of the workplace for a long time, but you might be surprised at how much more confident you feel after a session or two with a career coach. Our coaches can help you find suitable job opportunities and give you advice on creating a good application.

I’ve written lots of applications but never hear back. Can you help?

Yes. Our coaches can look at your CV and covering letters and offer suggestions on how you could improve them. Sometimes it’s something as simple as reformatting your CV. At other times your application may need a complete rework. Our coaches can help you with both.

I’ve been to several interviews but never get the job. Can you help?

Yes. Our coaches can give advice on interview techniques and practise these with you. You’ll feel much more confident next time and be more likely to be offered the job.

I’m not sure whether I need coaching or just a 30-minute session, what should I do?

Contact your Hub Coordinator and explain your situation. They will be able to point you in the right direction and if you opt for the shorter session first, you can always request a career coach if you decide you need more support.
